Sadly the Dragonflies need to come down by the end of July but this could be turned into another ‘Transition’ for them (!) and enjoyment for us as it is proposed to sell off all the rings of dangling dragonflies. These rings could become lovely mobiles in your home and/or you could give them to friends. It is suggested that a donation of £5 per ring could secure one for you! All the proceeds from the sale of the rings will go towards funding future art related Church projects. If you wish to have one or more please pick-up an envelope from the back of the church and fill in all your personal contact details e.g. name, address, number of rings wanted and leave the envelope in the Parish Office marked for me. Closing date for bids is July 19. Thank you, Fiona A CELEBRATION OF WHOLENESS AND HEALING Our Annual Team Prayer Healing Service will be held in St John’s at 4.30 pm on Sunday, 28th July. Please do come and support this Service which will be led by Tim who will offer anointing with oil. Please encourage family and friends and all those for whom this Service may be a comfort and blessing, to join us. There will be tea and biscuits served after the Service. A FORMER CURATE The Rev’d Mark Williams is leaving St John's Church Belmont , Surrey on 21st July to take up a new ministry on 7th August at St James Priory Church, Deeping St James in Lincolnshire. Please pray for Mark and Helen. THE BEAUMONT FAMILY As some of you know, we are leaving Somerset for Lancashire. Erica is starting her new job in Preston on 5th August. Time has crept up on us and this Sunday (14th July) is the last one that we think we will be with you all before we move. We wanted to say thank you for the all the love, care and support we have received from you, our church family. We have been worshipping at St John's now for 6 years. We are going to miss you all. We will keep you in our prayers and would appreciate your prayers for the logistics of our move, new job for Erica, relocation of her father (age 88 with mild dementia), finding the right school for the children and finding a new local church family to worship with.
