Jim is a very highly motivated and experienced individual and is meticulous in his planning, making his sessions fun, relevant and challenging. A number of players that Jim has coached are now playing professionally around the world and some in the English Premier League. Jim has also been a Premier League Scout for over 20 years.John has coached for a number of years and always produces thoughtful, challenging sessions for the Academy boys and girls. He has 35 years teaching experience and joined Claremont Football Academy in September 2018, due to the growth in the programme. He has worked closely with Jim for over 20 years running District and County football teams alongside him. He has a passion for the sport and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.Dave SeymourAndy CorriganAcademy CoachAcademy CoachDave has been involved in football coaching for 10 years. He has worked for a number of clubs helping to develop players and enhance their speed and conditioning in the game. Dave currently works for a Premier league Academy as well as the CFA and as such knows the level required to make it to the top. Dave brings with him a wealth of knowledge including a number of years coaching in the USA. His sessions are full of life and very active. His enthusiasm to teach is infectious and all players that Dave coaches comment that the environment he creates makes it easy to learn.Andy has worked alongside Academy Director Jim Colston for many years; he currently coaches for a premiership football club as well as for the Claremont Football Academy. Andy specialises in technique, futsal and one-to-one sessions with the Academy scholars. He currently heads our Junior Academy and is responsible for their development programme and progression under the guidance of the Academy Director.CFA Methods of Teaching and Learning All our students will receive regular reviews about their performance at the same time as academic reviews whilst also benefiting from the expert coaching from the Academy team. Students will benefit from a wide range of unique coaching and delivery methods to suit their own individual needs. Training is based around a professional academy setting and thus students should expect to be challenged to work at a high standard physically, technically and tactically, as well as performing to a high standard academically. The Academy programme also benefits from having a goalkeeping coach who works with our goalkeepers separately to the outfield players and provides them with the technical and physical guidance to improve their game.Building a Professional Foundation in Football How do you summarise the CFA in three words?
