  Course Instructor: Dr. Jawaid Ghani  Mohammad Zain Arsalan Baig Subject: Market Analysis M2130012 Karachi School for Business and Leadership “ Online Shopping- A One Stop Shop Solution ”  Research Objective: In order to evaluate if people will like to shop online by giving them a “One Stop Shop Solution” i.e. they could purchase from everyday household items to luxurious items. A considerable space has been observed in this area for Pakistan and in many other countries as well. It has been evaluated that in some cases High Income Earners and Middle Income Earners generally place a phone call at grocery stores in order to place order for grocery and everyday other items. We not only are going to know from customers of their satisfaction level of such services but will also try to evaluate their responses by giving them an alternate solution. Our target audience for interviewing shall comprise of men and women of all ages, specifically, focusing on    Working Professional Men & W omen’s      House Wives Since Karachi is a big metropolitan city, therefore, we have divided it into zones where we will be conducting surveys:    Clifton & Defence    Askari IV    KDA Focus Group: I conducted a focus group at home with 2 Participants, both women, focusing particularly on their purchase behavior. Two different segments in case of women have been identified: 1. Working Professional 2. House Wives. The target is to analyse their buying pattern so that all bottlenecks can be catered during implementation of this project. Following topics were covered during their interviews: 1.   What drives you to shop on Super store 2.   What you do and do not want to purchase online 3.   How do you see men shopping pattern 4.   For which audience shall online shopping be convenient 5.   What will drive you towards online shopping, level of satisfaction etc. 6.   Will price be a factor for you to divert towards online shopping  Course Instructor: Dr. Jawaid Ghani  Mohammad Zain Arsalan Baig Subject: Market Analysis M2130012 Karachi School for Business and Leadership 1 st  Respondent: 1.   Women generally want to go out for window shopping because this is where their entertainment lies. 2.   Working Professional women might not prefer to shop themselves as they want to save this time and invest it somewhere else, somewhere productive. Therefore, they might prefer to shop online. 3.   Working Professional women do have maids back at home who prepare lunch and dinner and even take care of their kids. Therefore as far as grocery items are concerned women might not want to shop online as they may ask their maids to do the same. 4.   Working Professional women might like to shop beauty items or other general items. 5.   Working Professional women who likes to cook themselves might like to place grocery order online 6.   Prices will definitely be a key advantage for women’s p urchase as they are very price conscious 2 nd  Respondent: 1.   A lot of variety can easily be observed this might attract the women and men. 2.   Still the women want to hold the product once in their hands before purchasing the item. 3.   Men do not like to shop much. As men do not generally like whatever purchases women make for them, therefore, through online shopping they will be able to make their own choices. 4.   There are women who do not like to shop and like to hang around in clubs etc. They generally want to buy their everyday items but do not want to take the burden to go for shopping. But these kinds of women’s generally belong to High Income Group.  5.   If food items are also available with grocery shopping then it will be like an entertainment. 6.   Women should have this feeling of entertainment while doing online shopping that is one thing that is going to attract them. 7.   It is the one time experience that we have to make entertaining, meaning, if an individual does the online shopping and he is really excited about it than that is the one thing that is going to drive him every time. 8.   Prices may not affect high income earners, what that class needs is entertainment online Belief Statements: 1.   “Office job wali khawatein online shopping pasand ka rain giin, kyon kai housewives ghar sai bhair niklna pasand karti hain”  2.   “Aurtoon ko koi bhana chayhee bahir niklnay ka”  3.   “Mardoon ko kuch bi laa kar doo, aun ko pasanad nahin ata. Ais ka sab sai bara faida Mardoon ko ho ga kai wo khud ja kar apni pasand ki shopping kar lain. Aur wo bi ghar baithay baithay”  4.   “ Pahlyy martaba online shopping karnakafi mushkil ho ga. Likan aikdafa jis nai online shoppingki to phir wo aadi hojai ga”  5.   “App pahly bari 100 ruppes ki free shopping offer kyon nahain kholtay. Ai s sai kamaz kam har koi pahlay bar ja kar online shopping to karay ga. Free ki chiz har kisi ko achi lagti hai”  6.   “ Sabzi agar kharab hoi to kya gurantee hai wapis ho gai ga”
